More About Foxford Vineyard
In 2019, Nick and Mary Hill purchased a beautiful south facing plot of land on the Blackwater River ford at West Wellow, Hampshire.

Hampshire Sparkles
Resting in the peaceful Test Valley, surrounded by rolling hills, woods and fields, our site is now home to Foxford, a two hectare, 8,500 vine vineyard, planted in 2020. On a bedrock of sandstone, the soil is a deep, free-draining sandy loam, ideal for viticulture.
We grow Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, collectively known as the classic traditional method sparkling trio. We will also be producing still whites and reds when the English summers permit.

Crafted By Hand
We run our vineyard with a personal touch. Much of the work we undertake is done ourselves; you will often find us at the vineyard in all weathers pruning or tying down, leaf stripping and tucking in. At harvest, we select and hand-pick every bunch with a group of local pickers to ensure exceptional quality.
When the time comes to turn grapes into wine, we partner with a local expert winemaker, and produce deliciously aromatic wines that reflect the unique terroir at Foxford.

Foxford's First Pour
We are pleased to announce that our first wine from the maiden 2022 harvest, a classic cuvée, will be released in September 2025. We look forward to sharing this milestone with you and hope you have the opportunity to sample it and join us on this journey.
Following two further harvests in 2023, and 2024, we are continuing our journey towards our goal of consistently producing some of the finest English Quality Sparkling Wine you will find available to enjoy.
